    Sees Candy is Simply Lovely

     Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate!
Every child loves visiting a candy shop, however, I am the adult that loves visiting candy shops.  I was given the opportunity to not only sample different chocolates, courtesy of See's Candy, but also to learn the process and packaging of their great chocolate.

Mary See, her son, Charles See, and his wife  open the first See's Candies Shop in November of 1921 in Los Angeles.  The shop had a special designed to resemble Mary See's home kitchen with it's black and white interior and  to this day they continued to design all of their shops the same way.
While learning a little about See's Candies history, we also got to experience what it is like to package the chocolate.
Everyone has seen the episode of "I Love Lucy" where Lucy is trying to package chocolate off of a conveyer belt but ends up stuffing most of them in her mouth to keep things moving.  An interesting fact is the idea come from Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance spending the day at the See's Candies factory.

Make sure to stop into a See's Candies Shop and take the time to notice the special design of the store while your sampling a few pieces of candy.  You have to try the Peanut Brittle it is crazy good and  a favorite of mine.
