    Gatlinburg

     Gatlinburg Family Vacation

Gatlinburg was a definitely a spot that my husband and I wanted our children to visit and enjoy.  My husband and I had both vacationed there as children and knowing what it had to offer made it an easy choice when deciding where our next vacationing spot would be.

We stayed in Gatlinburg where everything would be accessible and that being said I made a trip onto the strip every night for a hand dipped corndog, which I excused as being okay since I was 5 months pregnant.  Walking downtown Gatlinburg was definitely a favorite of mine. Enjoying the music, the shops, games, and lets not forget to mention all the great food.

This will be a place my family will visits again.

The Hatfield & McCoy dinner show hit on the kids list of Most Memorable.  They loved the humor and singing.  They joined right in when the cast would involve the crowd.  Their buckets of food, literally, were more than enough to feed my family of six.

The Titanic Museum is also something I would absolutely want to mention.  Not only do you get to see some beautiful artifacts but you experience the ship as if you were a passenger yourself.  Can be overwhelming as an adult to place yourself in someone else’s shoes for such a historical and tragic event.  The #1 must see in all of Pigeon Forge.

Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge is definitely a place that both adults and kids can enjoy.  If you are not looking to spend a lot of money there are still plenty of things to do.

Here are a list of activities and restaurants my family enjoyed

    ·         Great Smokey Mountains

    ·         Gatlinburg Aquarium

    ·         Ripley’s Believe It or Not

    ·         Sky Lift

    ·         Mirror Maze

    ·         Hollywood Wax Museum

    ·         Titanic Museum

    ·         Rock Mining

    ·         Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Theatre

    ·         The Mill

    1. Oh, I want to go to the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show next time we are that way! Last time I was in the area they were in the process of building it. We love the whole area down there, I am about 3 hours away, so makes a good weekend getaway when we get the chance! Thank you for sharing!

    2. I love the Smokies! We always stay in Pigeon Forge. Normally, we go about twice a year - once in the summer and once in the winter. I love their Christmas shows. My daughter is 9 months old and I can't wait until next year to take her. I just know she'll love it. :)

Stopping by for the blog hop,
      Kerry
